Wilbur students had a blast participating in Wildcat Mathmania Day today! G-3 loved doing fun math activities that were hands-on, required higher level thinking, and allowed for tons of movement in the MPR! They were able to graph their favorite color of shoes for Pete the Cat, look at tens frames and race their box-car to the right number in the "parking lot", racing to create different combinations on giant tens-frames on the wall, playing a giant floor-sized game of "Racing Bears", and using bowling to learn about subtraction (number of pins - number knocked down = number still standing)! The children had an awesome time! Ask them what their favorite activity was, and why! :-)
