B-1 had a visit from Delaware City Fire Company's own Firefighter Bill! Firefighter Bill taught us all about fire safety tips, such as the emergency number to call (9-1-1), changing out your batteries in your smoke detector twice a year, having two ways out of your house, having a designated meeting place outside of your house if there ever is a fire, and that bad air is above our heads (where the smoke is) and good air is down by the ground. He also reminded the children to feel if a door is hot by using the back of their hand so they don't burn themselves, and to sleep with their doors closed at night. Finally, Firefighter Bill wants everyone to practice learning their address and phone number in case of an emergency. The kids even got a special visit on the fire truck! Please check out our pictures below! :-)
