My Kindergarten Students are 100 Days Smarter!!!

our number of days we've been in school, and we were finally able to fill in the last box in our tenth ten-frame! The kids are now able to count to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's! They even learned about the hundreds place and why the number "100" is written "1-0-0" (ten full groups of ten - or one group of one hundred, and zero ones). After calendar was over, I issued the class a challenge - I challenged them to have such a fantastic day that they would all receive 100 points on our Class Dojo by the end of the day. The fun continued as the children completed a writing prompt about what they would buy if they had $100.00. The most popular answer - a limousine. :-) I am so impressed at how well the students are writing their popcorn words in their sentences, and sounding out their words independently! Such a difference from 100 days ago!!! Here are a few pictures of the children hard at work:
