As part of the advanced homework, the children were asked to create puppets from a little book. They were also asked to practice reading the story so that they would be fluent by this week, in order to read to the class. Since so many students were successful with this, I asked the children to sit around the
classroom in small groups and take turns reading the stories to each other. The children were very supportive and positive with each other, and worked cooperatively - sharing their puppets and their little books. It was a very proud moment for all of them (and for me as well)! Way to go G-3 smart cookies! :-)
Kailynn, Aaliyah, and Myracle enjoyed reading their books to each other using their awesome puppets that they created!
